On October 25th 1969 Tom Farmer opened his pharmacy at Powers supermarket on Dundrum Main Street - where the TSB bank now is

situated. Dundrum was then a quiet village at the foot of the Dublin Mountains.

In November 1971 he moved across the street to the new shopping center. Farmer'a pharmacy developed on his belief that operating

a pharmacy was a noble profession.

His philosophy was that a personal and professional service to patients and customers by way of advice on drugs and treatment of minor

ailments was paramount.

He has recently retired from the business and his practice and philosophy are being carried on by his son Liam and his loyal staff.
In the meantime. Farmers Pharmacy has expanded it's services to include another pharmacy in Ballyogan Shopping Centre and a modern Health Store on the upper level in Dundrum Shopping Centre. Please feel free to call into any of our stores the next time you visit the shopping centres.
